Miley skipping the Teen Choice Awards this year.

“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus may not be attending the Teen Choice Awards this year because she is working on a couple of new projects such as  “LOL”, but she is still finding a way to reach out to her young fans with some of her music.

The new project is a movie called “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.” The movie is a remake of a French movie made in 2008, and it is likely that Demi Moore will play Miley’s mom in the movie.

In the film, Miley’s character has been cast off by her boyfriend and decides to pursue his best friend, while at the same time her mother is divorced and is finding it difficult to restart her life as a single lady while trying to maintain a relationship with her daughter.

The updated version of the film will be written and directed by the original writer/director of the French film, Lisa Azuelos.

With that being said, Cyrus is also taking some time away from her new movie’s set in order to shoot a new music video for “Who Owns My Heart”.  What is odd is that it will be filmed overseas — Everyone is wondering wow will she have the time to finish both? –  Miley’s new song, “Who Owns My Hearts” will be launched as her next single from the “Can’t Be Tamed” album.

As for here in the United States, Miley is attracting more attention with her new single, “Two More Lonely People”, which kind of sounds close to Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl.”  Both songs are great and it is going to be interesting to see which one makes it to the top of the charts!

Miley Cyrus was spotted hanging out with Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher at Mars Bar in Detroit. Mars Bar is located in the heart of downtown Hamtramck, minutes away from downtown Detroit.

Miley Cyrus’ next film is titled LOL: Laughing Out Loud and she is starring opposite of Demi Moore. Moore will be playing her mother.

For those of you who do not know, LOL: Laughing Out Loud is actually a remake of a French independent film of the same film. I have the trailer for you below so you can get an idea of what Miley’s film will be like. Miley will be playing the character of Lola. From the looks of it, Miley will definitely be dealing with much darker themes such as drugs and sex which will be very different from her Hannah Montana persona. The answer is no. There were rumors that Miley Cyrus would be performing at the closing ceremonies of the World Cup in July and as great as that would have been, she has a scheduling conflict. Miley Cyrus will be in Detroit, Michigan filming her latest film, LOL starring alongside Demi Moore.

Miley Cyrus is going to star alongside Demi Moore in the movie remake of a french film titled L.O.L. Laughing Out Loud. Variety reports that Moore will be playing Miley’s mother. The story of the film is as follows:

It’s the story of a teenage girl who, after getting dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend, makes a play for his best friend, all while her divorced mother deals with her own life issues.

Sounds exciting and as the title suggests, is going to be hilarious! I can’t wait.
