Controversy Between Miley Cyrus and Brett Michaels
March 2nd, 2010

A recent duet that Miley Cyrus and Brett Michaels recorded is causing some heat! There are people that feel the song is incredibly inappropriate seeing that Michaels is in his 40s and Miley is still a teenager. With lyrics like “We both know better than this/ Still we can’t resist/ Slowly get undressed” and “Won’t you fall down on me/ So close I can hear you breathe”.
Michaels explained that he had played Cyrus the song when she was working with him on a cover of the Poison track ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’.
“[Miley's] like, ‘This is an incredible song, it’s beautiful’,” he said. “‘Maybe I could do some stuff to it, some harmonies’. I said, ‘That’d be killer!’ She was excited that she didn’t have to follow any rules.”
Michaels admitted that he hadn’t told Cyrus to look at the “lyrical content” but added: “The part where it says she slowly gets undressed, Miley says, ‘Yeah, she does’. It has no reference to her and I. It’s not even a duet.”
He concluded: “As God is my witness, there is nothing I have to be defensive about. I’m a good dad. I just thought it was a beautiful song.”

What do you think? Is it inappropriate?

A very lucky girl named Shannon was chosen from the GetYourGoodOn.org site to meet Miley Cyrus! Shannon was able to bring her friends Bridget and Dylan to the meet.
She founded SHARE (SHannons After-school Reading Exchange), a New Jersey nonprofit which seeks to empower Tanzanian girls through education.
Shannon has mobilized 800 New Jersey students to volunteer thousands of hours collecting and boxing 21,000 books which are shipped 10,000 miles to Tanzania, Africa and then delivered to impoverished school children their age.
Shannon is an incredible girl and she totally deserved the chance to meet Miley!
